PlaneSense, Inc. Installing Gogo's AVANCE L3 Fleetwide
PlaneSense, Inc., a leader in fractional aircraft ownership, is installing the AVANCE L3 connection system from Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO) across its fleet of Pilatus PC-12s.
PlaneSense, Inc. has a growing fractional fleet, with 39 PC-12s and seven Pilatus PC-24 planes currently in service. 32 PC-12s, as well as the whole jet fleet, are now flying with active AVANCE L3 systems onboard.
"With its high bandwidth performance and functionality starting at 3,000 feet, the AVANCE L3 is a significant addition to the PlaneSense® program's value offering," stated George Antoniadis, president and CEO of PlaneSense, Inc. "Since 2018, our jet programme clients have benefited immensely from Gogo's L3 connectivity, and we are excited to now extend this benefit to our PC-12 clients."
The AVANCE L3 offers complete internet functionality in a tiny and lightweight package, making it perfect for light jets and turboprops. PlaneSense, Inc. also offers the Gogo Vision base version, which includes a moving map and news snippets for passengers to watch flight progress.
"By providing Gogo Wi-Fi on its fleet, PlaneSense, Inc. clients can make their flight time more efficient and entertaining," said Jim Zanino, Gogo Business Aviation's vice president of customer sales. "Passengers demand quality inflight Wi-Fi regardless of the size or purpose of an aircraft, and the L3 delivers."
The L3 system installations were supervised by Atlas Aircraft Center, the PlaneSense program's maintenance affiliate, and the other PC-12 installations will be completed in the following weeks. Beginning in 2023, all new PC-12 aircraft added to the PlaneSense, Inc. fleet will be equipped with the L3.
In 2021, the PlaneSense fractional programme completed more than 37,300 missions.
